Getting started
After install, sign in once — your plan and session sync between the website and extension.
Use your email and a one-time verification code — no password required.
- Click the SeaReply toolbar icon or open the side panel.
- Enter your email and request a verification code.
- Enter the 6-digit code to complete sign-in.

Configure language & AI
Set your reading language and rewrite preferences in the Settings tab.
- Open the side panel → Settings and choose your target translation language.
- Pick hosted AI or bring your own API key (BYO Key stays local in your browser).

Sign in on seareply.com and your installed extension signs in automatically — no duplicate verification.
Translate · Read
SeaReply injects translations directly into posts and comments on supported sites. Original text is always preserved.
- Post body auto-translates when the page loads.
- High-score comments auto-translate; others show a translate button.
- Tap “Retranslate” to refresh without using cache.

Rewrite · Reply
Type in your native language; SeaReply rewrites into native community tone and fills the platform reply box.
- Focus the native reply box — the rewrite panel appears above it.
- Choose tone: neutral, friendly, professional, or casual.
- Press Ctrl+D (Cmd+D on Mac) as a shortcut to rewrite.
On x.com the panel floats and can be dragged; on Reddit it embeds inline. You still send with the platform’s native button.

Side panel hub
Open the side panel from the toolbar icon for replies history, notifications, and settings.
- Replies — browse comments you posted with SeaReply.
- Notifications — unread interaction alerts in one inbox.
- Settings — account, AI mode, translation, themes, and notification prefs.

Notifications
Stay on top of new replies, comments, and score changes without refreshing threads.
- Toolbar badge shows unread count at a glance.
- System notifications (optional) alert you outside the browser.
- Server-side 24/7 monitoring on Pro/Ultra for Hacker News and Product Hunt.
